A Thornless Reflection

A THORNLESS REFLECTION

In his garden, where my identity lays bare,

I can see myself without the thorns—my blemishes ensnared.

For in his garden, the prickly are made smooth.

A bush can be on fire, but it will never be consumed.

Order is restored on his solid ground.

What used to enrage now calls me to quiet down.

As I emerge from weeds of chaos, and leave behind thoughts of shame,

I join the feast of believers and sit down at my place—

one which Christ prepared for me before the foundation of days.
