Wildflowers
by Matthew Nash
WILDFLOWERS
I see wildflowers
on my walk each morning.
They’re calling me
to go further into the wild,
into the unknown,
into the unexpected,
into the disruption.
Sometimes fear keeps me
from going to the places
I know I must explore.
What if I just surrender?
What if I let myself go deep
into the whimsy and the mystery?
What new things could I learn and
what old things could I unlearn?
Let me go into the wild.
Let me go into the wilderness
where I’m greeted with love and peace.
There, I am welcomed by a community of people
who have left the bustling city for open spaces and wild adventure.
I am ever open to the questions wildflowers bring.
